When I switched to the latest versions of Unreal Engine (UE), specifically 5.5.1 and 5.5.2, I started experiencing some strange issues with foliage shadows and translucency when using ray-traced lighting. However, in version 5.4, I didn’t encounter any such problems.
First is VSM. Everything seems to be fine.
And second is Ray Traced, weird specularity in the shadows. The leaves are not transparent. Blochy and noisy shadows are where they shouldn’t be.
How to fix it?
