[UE 5.4.4] Cannot Package, SDK not Installed Properly, Turnkey Error 1

On UE 5.4.4 when I try to package a project, it says that the SDK is not installed properly, and when I check my computer name (whatever that is) it says something about Turkey Error 1.

I’ve tried so far:

  • Verifying UE installation
  • Installing Windows SDK
  • Installing NET SDK
  • Copying whatever DLL that UE has into another folder

But I still don’t know what to do to fix this error
If anyone has any idea or any clear instructions to get a log that might give them an idea, I’d be grateful.

Hello there @DanHR!

The error you are encountering, Turnkey Error1, means that the Unreal Automation Tool can’t find or use your installed development kits.

The first step here would be to ensure all elements in your install are using the correct version, even re-installing your SDK, following the document below:

Next, please double-check your PC’s name, even update it to a simpler one. Then, perform a clear cache to rule out data corruption, via deleting folders Intermediate and Saved from your project.

Alternatively, this issue was covered and resolved in another thread, please check their methods for your scenario as well:

There’s something I might not be getting right, I even tried to do the XML thingy, but I’m not 100% sure about the placement. Should I straight send a log pasted in any sort of online text share thing?

I dont know how to mark this as solved but there might be some stuff with my windows install, I formatted and everything was cool
