UE 5.2 Refraction square bug?

Hello, I would like some help regarding glass material:

I have this scene with couple of glasses that have translucent material, I’ve worked with it in the past, specially using 5.1.1 I haven’t had any issue until now, there’s some square artifacts that I can’t seem to solve:

I’m using Index of Refraction because it give the best looking results but that’s where the problem is, if I switch to Pixel Normal offset te problem goes away, I would like some help pleease, it’s anyone else’s having the same bug? If I don’t use Fresnel in refraction the problems becomes more aparent:

BTW I’m using Lumen’s raytraced translucency and the models are good, double checked.

Thank you in advance!

No solution uh? transmission/translucence has been broken like for ever. 5.2 fixes nothing

I am sorry that I don’t have a proper solution here. I just wanted to say that in both images the material looks insanely good.

I can however see why you want the Index of Refraction to work.

Thanks and happy developing!

Does it occur when you reduce the IoR? 2 is much higher than the true IoR of glass, and higher values are far more prone to artifacts.

Yeah I even tried ‘real’ IOR values, same result

Thanks!

Any Unreal staff that can give some feedback? is it gonna be fixed soon?

Welp, thanks anyway support team for all the help
