UE 5.1 Raytraced Shadows D3D Device Removed Crash

Hi, after upgrading from 5.0.3 to 5.1 my project is no longer stable with raytraced shadows enabled. I get the common D3D Device Removed error and I have went through all the usual troubleshooting steps including increasing TDR in Windows registry.

The crash happens at random, sometimes immediately other times after a couple of minutes. I have also checked the logs and the last things causing the hang are often various lights in the scene, I have tried turning them off one by one but it always crashes with some other light in the scene.

The only temporary solution I found for now is enabling Virtual Shadow Maps, the project is stable with VSM but it is a significant downgrade for my use case. My specs are RTX 4090, 64GB RAM, i9-13900KF and all running of off fast NVME storage, all latest drivers and Windows 11 so hardware shouldn’t be a problem.

We’ve run into the same issue here, were you able to find any solution to this? 5.0.3 was working and with 5.1 and raytraced shadows, crashes usually within seconds.
