UE 5.1 no shadows from instance tree leaves with Path Tracing

I’m experimenting with Path Tracing in UE 5.1. Using the MAO Oak Forest asset, I can’t get any foliage shadows when Path Tracing. I get shadows from the trunks and branches, but the instanced trees cast no shadows from the leaves. What do I need to enable beyond the normal Ray Tracing and Pathtracing parameters?

I have this same issue with the same forest pack, and in general I get really bad shadowing and appearance from any trees I use in Path Traced mode. They look great and work fine in Lit mode.

How can this be fixed?

Please enable cast ray traced shadow in m_vegetations material.

And if you have black flickering on tree trunk with Path Tracing but nanite is fixing black flicker.
