UE 5.1 - Best Hair Shader method for games?

Hi

I’m having some difficulty in getting hair shading set up in UE5 for a game asset. I’ve read through different methods in the documentation, but a lot seems to be aimed at VFX, Meta Humans and the like where manual components are added in the material, such as root and tip colour, parameters to control the roughness, tangent, specular etc.
At my university, I’m not able to download any pre-existing hair shading projects, so I need to know the best setup I can quickly throw together to get it working. My head mesh has hair cards and textures made as though ready for a game. But what’s the correct and best approach to get it looking like hair and not straw. I have all of my textures set up in the material editor, except the root and height as I’m not sure about those. I figured the Shading Model needs to be set to Hair…? Though if I do that, everything looks dark. Plus, there’s no option to add my Normal map. Just Tangent.

Can someone help me with this? Thanks.
