Hi, I’ve been working on a multiplayer project for UE 4. I’ve updated the project from 4.4.3 to 4.5 and now the project crashes whenever I try to play it in multiplayer. If I launch the game with one window it works and if I package the project and play singleplayer it works. When I try to connect (open “localhost”) both client and server crash. If I try to launch the game in “new editor window” with two clients the entire editor crashes.
Here is a pastebin with the crash dump.
I havnt changed anything with how the multiplayer works after updating to 4.5 and it worked in 4.4.3
Apparently it’s due to creating a widget on begin play in the player controller. I’ll just not use the UI as the project is made for Oculus and UMG doesnt work with Oculus yet anyway.
I was reading of the issue and want to ask if you could reproduce this issue in the newest version of the engine? If you can I have a few questions I would like to ask to narrow down what is causing the problem.
Can you reproduce this in a clean project?
If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue?
Could you provide screen shots of the blueprint(s) that were used to reproduce this issue?
I have not heard back from you in a few days, so I’m marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. I understand this is an older post and if you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and I will be more than happy offer further assistance.
