Hi all!
I’m not sure what’s happening here or if it’s a bug. Searches haven’t turned anything up though.
I work with RealityCapture to recreate real world ruins, and until this month everything has been dandy. My workflow involves exporting the model as an .fbx when I’m happy with it, and setting textures to go out as UDIMs on diffuse and normal, then I used to hand renumber them (for some reason it never did it automatically for me) and I’d import the mesh, then the UDIMs as VTs into Unreal 5.0.3, and got stunning results.
I updated to 5.1 and migrated my assets and everything worked well. Then I took my team back to the ruins to capture a couple of parts we were missing, returned home, and went to follow my usual pipeline.
And when I went to import my UDIMs (which now were properly numbering on export from RC) they imported into UE5.1 and are empty and black. I’m very confused and I really need this to be solved or my project is in trouble!!
Attaching a screenshot showing the folder with the exported UDIMs and the empty VT within my content folder.

Good afternoon,
I have the same problem, have you found a solution?
Not yet. I finally just imported every asset+UDIM into 5.0, then migrated them to 5.1.
