Two Questions, How to Trigger a on hit Animations and Trigger Attack Health?

I am running into an issue as in Brain Toot.

I am trying to trigger a Hit Animation when a character gets hit, is there any info on how to properly set that up? I do have an Anim BP for my Third person Character I just have no clue on what “Event” I am supposed to chose to trigger the animation.

Also with that, I am also trying to utilize the players health in the Event Graph BP of the player but I am not sure what option to pick. As in on “Actor Hit” or on “Hit Event” I am a bit lost on the correct option to chose for this.

One way to do this is to utilize the built-in event “Event AnyDamage”.

This gets called whenever your pawn gets damaged through one of the damage functions: “Apply Damage”, “Apply Point Damage”, “Apply Radial Damage”. A simple implementation would look like this:
