Twinmotion keeps crashing when I attempt to use Path Tracer.

PC Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 11400
  • GPU: Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition - 8GB of VRAM and Ray Tracing Support
  • Currently running on Windows 10 Pro , Version 22H2, Build OS: 19045.2251
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Running on Twinmotion 2022.2.3 Education

So two weeks ago, I recently bought myself the new Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition card (previously coming from a GTX 1070). Bought it because I wanted to take advantage of its ray tracing. Been using it with Twinmotion and everything has been doing great, and I've also been using Path Tracer. Though for some reason, just recently, I've begun experiencing crashes when I use Path Tracer.

This is the crash report:

Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 684] RayTracingDevice->CreateStateObject(&Desc, IID_PPV_ARGS(Result.GetInitReference())) failed at D:/tm/workspace/Release-2022.2/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12RayTracing.cpp:359 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

I've already attempted to change the TdrLevel to 15, but it seems that didn't help too much.

Does anyone get any ideas or suggestions? All the help would be appreciated!

Hello Mark and thank you for posting in our community.

This crash is most likely related to the TDRDelay.

Please see this article for the workaround

Thank you
