Tutorial: Your First Game In Unreal Engine 5

I agree that the pace is nightmarish and there seems to be a real “curse of knowledge” situation with the lack of explanation (of anything). But I think ever since switching to the Dev Community and the transition to 5, this has been an issue. There’s no clear path forward for new users and huge amounts of information left out or some odd expectation that complete newbies know as much as the dev team. I hate to say it, but education is an area where Unity is winning.

Anyway, this needs to be updated for 5.3 ASAP because the Axis and Action bindings have been deprecated and some minor features have changed, so it’s even harder to follow along. The project shouldn’t be listed as 5.3 compatible if it’s teaching an outdated workflow. And for the love of whatever higher power you do or do not believe in, break it up into smaller chapters and add some playback features (like .25X speed).
