Hello guys!
I’m sorry to bother you all, I’ve just started unreal and it’s been beating me up pretty bad!
I’m trying to break down the creation process of the effects sample map to understand what’s going on there so I can use it in my own map but I’ve been having some issues…
My first problem is I’ve migrated the p_torchfire particle from* effects sample* to my map with all its materials and textures but when I place it on my map it looks completely dull and weak.
I’ve noticed the main difference is that the particle in my map won’t emit light, even though it has that nodule inside its cascade, whereas in the effects sample it emits a strong, unstable light.
See picture for reference:
The second problem is I can’t replicate the emissive effect of the effects sample to my own. I’ve migrated an emissive material from the sample to my map and it won’t glow at all!

It is worth mentioning I copied the lightmass settings from one map to another and I do have a lightmass importance volume.
Thanks for you time!!
