Translucent shadows visible only in editor at pause

I’ve been trying for long to make real, not fake cloud shadows. And finally I’ve done it - but in weird circumstances:

All shadows seen:

  1. In editor window
  2. In player camera preview

No Shadows from clouds, still other shadows present:

  1. Any PIE session
  2. Any standalone build
  3. Level sequence generated camera previews (see pictures)
  4. Level sequence rendered videos.

My clouds are a mesh with a translucent material. Cast Shadows, Volumetric Translucent Shadows etc. falgs are set. My sun is a movable directional light. Flags set: Cast Shadows, Cast Translucent Shadows, Cast Dynamic Shadows, Cast Volumetric Shadows, etc. Any experimenting with flags only enables or disables shadows, never affecting the issue. My gound is a landscape with a landscape material.

The same material in a fresh project behaves the same way.

First noticed in 4.24, in 4.25 all the same. Maybe I’m missing some simple point but I really have no Idea what option makes them work in such restricted conditions.

Same problem here. Did you find solution?

Unfortunately, no. As for 4.25.3 there were several flashes of hope, the shadows reappeared in PIE after some actions and disappeared again after some other actions, I have no idea what exactly - adding new meshes, particles, materials, decals, whatever - no logic at all.
