Translucent Clouds Break Lighting for Distant Clouds

The screenshot shows volumetric clouds. A rain cloud on the right side has some thin volumetric clouds underneath, emulating rain falling down. Other clouds are visible through the thin rain cloud layer, but have a blue sheen that does not appear with the other clouds on the left.

This effect always occurs when viewing distant clouds through a transparent layer of different clouds. I assume that the atmosphere is not scanned for the distant clouds, causing them to appear to glow.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

SebHillaire answered in another thread. The issue seems that the aerial perspective is only evaluated for the first sample. A possible fix would be to evaluate aerial perspective per sample.
