Hi everyone, I am new to game developing since I have ideas for some games and I´ve even made up some sci-fi/fantasy characters and I want to take them into a game of my own. I see a lot of debate between tols to use for creating animations or 3d games. I am currently learning everything by myself. The tools I am learning right now are blender, zbrush and of course UE4 so my questions are: To develop my game and characters, the best route to take would be to model on zbrush, make the animations on blender and finally import them to UE4 or would I be missing something important? I currently don´t have resources to invest on another license and start learning a new software since I am still progressing on zbrush and blender
The other question would be: Is it possible to crete gore effects on the game like dead space and gears of war using the tools I´ve mentioned? this would be important to me since I am aiming to make a “mature rated” game.
I know some developers (among them some of those who remaster old games in UE4) who use really well zbrush with UE4 so due to my lack of experience which I´m still gaining, I believe that animation work could be done in blender, so could I achieve at least small games and animations with gore content by creating and texturing the models on zbrush, animating them on blender (or texture them there) and finally bringing them into UE4?
Any help is appreciated, Thank you.
