Thin static mesh (pavement marking) disappearing at distance

I have thin pavement markings (10 cm) on a roadway that seem to fade as the camera moves further away. They seem to do this much closer than in real life and it makes roadway visualization difficult. I am wondering if there is a setting I am missing globally or if there is something I can do for each mesh or material setting.

You could try fixing the LOD:

which, curiously, sets it to 0.

Your problem are the mipmaps of the texture.
Doubleclick on the road texture and then in the mipmaps section chosse non mipmaps

Anyway, when i do mark on the roads i usuaally use geometry for that, instead of painting the lines on the texture.
Removving the mipmaps can cause moire effects on some textures.
