@EntrpriseCustomr Thanks for the ping!
As a seller of Code Plugins, I would like to submit a single Project Version of my code plugin that support multiple engine versions, if the code plugin is identical for all supported engine versions apart from the “EngineVersion” value in the .uplugin file (currently not possible as per Marketplace Guideline 1.4.2c).
Just to add an opinion here. I have spent maybe maybe close to £1000 pounds in that market place. I am a CAD expert, and there is some sellers on that market place that truly impress me.
However I have developed, some pet hates regarding the Market place and the sellers. If I may give off in a useful format………
-
Don’t present me with a sofa that has no matching arm chair because I end up having to hack one or the other to make it myself. Which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.
-
Don’t bake the materials on the static mesh, otherwise I have to edit your mesh, redo the UV’s and materials. I’m spending money to avoid a workload. does not help.
-
Please do not upload any models that do not have a properly placed origin point, other wise I have to edit myself and fix the freaking thing for you after paying you for it…
-
Pricing, some people sell quality items for a fair price, others sell bad models for more. I want a pricing poll for every seller, so that users can highlight good value or not.
-
Stop stealing stuff from old 3Dmax scenes and if you do, sort the freaking polygon count out. Your freaking sofa is using more memory than my entire scene !!!
If all you sellers want me to spend more money, adhere to these requests, and I’m your best customer.
For the love of god please give us the ability to hide or block sellers from appearing on search results. I don’t say as some type of attack on sellers. It’s just that there are many times I’m browsing the discounts and I see 5000000+ products I’m not interested in from the same seller. If I know I don’t want ‘Orc Models’ (No shade to any sellers) then I also don’t want to have 5000000+ discounted ‘Orc Models’ from the same seller clogging up my search results.
I’d like to be able to offer additional files such as Blender source files on a Animation Pack. Is really not possible at all just by including a file in the Content folder?
Free for the month ? i hope so did not forget.
Filtering by star rating might be nice. For example if I search for something I want to filter for highest 5 star rating first. would especially for event sales be much more comfortable.
I’d love to see a “Blueprint Plugins” category. The engine allows us to make content only plugins and building blueprint systems into them can be really helpful with cross-project migration and integration. Currently, we are limited to code projects in which the response from Epic was to “Make an empty code module” which seems a little deceitful to the end customer.
What Classy said, I’ve been looking into content only blueprints but the number of work arounds you need to do to even be considered is kind of silly.
Blueprint plugins are extremely useful in my own projects due to how easy it is to add them as needed and apparently Epic thinks so too due to them adding the ability to create them in the first place.
Nice, love the new wishlist . Thanx Guys

I saw it too but now its gone again. I restarted the launcher and it disapeared. Can I get it back?
It would be nice to be able to filter my vault by engine version, and possibly filter by downloaded/cached.
Another nice to have for the vault would be sorting options Name|Purchase Date|Size, ascending and descending.

As of 8pm EST, it seems to be working for me…
PS.
Yea I second the above Idea for Vault management. Even a way to hide certain regrets? lol.
Well done on adding a wishlist. However, if the wishlist is empty then the heart icon should be broken because it doesn’t love anyone.
How about including localized prices for the market place, as it is done for the Epic Storefront? Currencies discrepancies definitely impact sales, and being able to track devs location and offer regional prices could amount to greater sell numbers. Localized Pricing is already a thing in a lot of stores, why not at the marketplace?
I’m sure somebody mentioned something like earlier, but I’d like to chime in as well by requesting a Latest Update Date field for all marketplace products, so we’ll at least able to see if some the products we use were updated since we last downloaded them.
Another highly useful would be a **Changelog **tab. Since we already have a multi-tabbed interface with Description, Reviews, and Questions, adding another tab would be a fairly trivial task. While some sellers list or link their changelogs in the description field, would standardize the for all of them and also prompt many of those who don’t bother with it to list their changelogs online.
For me personally, both would be high-priority additions, so please give idea at least some consideration. Thank you.
@b1016103 - Speaking as a seller who’s made (and still makes) several updates to my assets, I initially also wanted some kind of ChangeLog in the MP. But I slowly realized how easy it would be to abuse something like that, releasing many ‘pseudo’ updates only to give the false impression that the asset is actually being worked on… So maybe it’s better way, I don’t know…

I was going to post about myself, I have been looking forward to for a long time to see update changes be listed on each product I really agree with you and I’m so happy that they let you save favorite items now as well, however I will be honest 50 favorites is not nearly enough for a backlog, theres 100s of things in the marketplace and its growing every day.

I agree with you, we really need a way to manage our vault content, for instance hiding things we no longer use, & adding our own custom categories to group different content.

I would REALLY like it if there was some way to filter the marketplace to show me only things I DO NOT OWN. It would be really nice when you are searching for new things to NOT see the stuff you already own in that list. It’s particularly true for the free content. There’s 20 pages of that and I have a lot of it already, so when I want to check for new stuff or just stuff I could use but haven’t bought yet, a like “filter by not owned” would be real handy.

Seriously so many good ideas, I agree with all of these! I’d be making use of every single one of these if they were implemented.
