@ResonantInfinity Many creators do not have 7 products.

Then we’d better get more productive as that’s at best a ratio of 1:4.

You show us a sale in march, then change the month to february when u did not have a sale, which is correct. I’m not sure what your problem is

Hi Evgeniy Babush The Marketplace uses a US date format of MM-DD-YYYY. The date showing 03-02-2019 refers to March 2, 2019. If you change the date range to March or Month 3, you’ll see the sale there. Hope helps! Please email us with any other questions -
could have an added benefit of additional sales revenue for content creators as less people will miss out on a sale if they plan ahead (wishlist item sale notifications could be the net step)
Save as Draft needed (even if the full form is not completed) in case upload fails or web browser sticks. It’s happened a couple times on chrome so far.
I’ve been thinking about it for a while, so here it is.
It would be nice if there was a rule that the same asset can’t be on sale more often than once per like 2-3 months. It is getting old to see the same assets no one buys constantly on sale. Nearly every time I visit the sale page I see the same assets. Dude, if your stuff doesn’t sell even on sale, just reduce price even more or something, stop abusing the system (especially if it still doesn’t really help sales).
There is a rule like that, you’re not seeing the same assets always on sale. I think we get something like a maximum 4 weeks on sale for each asset each year.
Could we get sorting fixed before the next sale?
even with current general “sale” the last four pages ive seen show the same content among these four pages and is annoying.
Not to mention somewhat unfair.

70 days in fact.
Don’t know where to put it. There’s a bug on UE marketplace: fullscreen image view is cut off on 2560x1920 display.
I leave the marketplace tab open and refresh and switch from New to Sale. Eventually the black navigation bar at the top that lets you go to the forum goes away and you can’t get it back. Additionally, eventually the New and Sale sections will cease to load. They’ll stick on loading animation.
Hi everyone!
I wrote into a different thread but just found that there is a Marketplace improvement thread. My suggestion
ís a Top Products section, I think a lot of creators could benefit from it:
I was just browsing the Marketplace and noticed there is no way of searching for best rated or most popular assets. Wouldn’t it be great to have a ‘Top Products’ section on the front page of the Marketplace? I think would have a lot of advantages: on one hand, creators of high quality assets would get the attention they deserve and customers would get exposed to the best products. My current impression is that quality is not really a variable in there. I see a lot of assets that are either featured, free or new packages which have one or two ratings in total. The newest products of course also deserve a lot of traffic, but why not have a Top Products section in addition?
What do you think?

I think the most problem is that people just don’t rate the products they purchase at all, so if you see an asset with 6 ratings with 5 stars and in the marketplace around 1 year, you can be sure that it has sold at least 10x that if not more. Also, how an asset can be considered a Top one? Just for the number of sales? Purchase here is a lot of matter of research, so goes my two cents:
1 - does the asset have a demo video?
2 - does the asset have a playable demo?
3 - does the asset have nice pictures? does the pictures show shader complexity in case of materials?
4 - does the asset have a good description?
5 - which is the asset support? Does it have a forum thread? Does it have a discord server?
6 - in case there are lots of comments on the asset page, read them all
7 - in case there is a forum thread, check for user doubts, how much time creator took to answer?, etc
8 - in case there is a discord server, how many people are there? how is the creator diligence in answering questions?
Takes a lot of time to consider a purchase.
thank you for the reply!

It’s true that just a tiny portion of the customers actually give ratings, is not unusual. If a product has a good amount of customers however who can recommend it, there will be enough ratings to give you an idea how how the overall quality of the product is. Ratings shouldn’t be the only factor taken into account, that is true.

It’s not an easy question, just sales and a lot of ratings shouldn’t be the only factor. All those points you mentioned above determine the overall quality of the tool and can only be answered by humans. One option is that such products get hand-picked, and to make it fair maybe rotating them (like the current ‘Featuerd’ section) so that every creator has equal chances to have a product featured on the Marketplace or the category front page.
If you look at Unity’s Asset store front page, the first thing you get to see is Top Assets released in 2018. Quality is definitely a variable in there, and it makes the search for high quality assets so much easier. There is no reason should not work with the Marketplace too, and it would a great way to give creators of high quality products the attention they deserve. It would also motivate creators (including myself) to improve their products to get featured for providing good quality.
@Alwin Unless Epic places a vote system to elect the best products in each category, which will turn the designation for a Top Asset more accurate. Maybe sending a pool with the assets which person purchased and ask for a rating there + a value from 1 to 10 to specify which was considered best among several in same category. That would work.
Could you please fix the cell phone market place “on sale” section. The discount covers the price. I work long hours and travel, and would like to see the price without clicking the item.
Please give us a way to somehow favorite assets on the marketplace in a seperate list that we can go through later and add entries from it to the shopping cart. Right now I have everything that is interesting to me collected in the shopping cart for thorough review or buying later, but since the temp limit cap, isn’t possible right now. It would make the process of collecting, evaluating and finally buying more straight forward anyways.
Publisher side.
Hi,
I’ve been using the Marketplace to sell my assets for around 4 months now and one drawback is that it doesn’t automatically save to draft in case you need to refresh the page or something. If I use save changes, it doesn’t back anything up in a draft and also complains that I haven’t filled in the entire form. Also if I have my product moved to the declined / Rejected section I cannot make any changes to it in order to bring it back for another submission. I’d have to manually copy paste everything for another attempt, only when it is in the ‘changes needed’ state can I do the updates. I recently had a project moved to declined/rejected because I slipped up on the file structure meaning I had to redo the entire product preparation again, I would have hoped it would have gone to ‘changes needed’ but nooo. Little bit of my time used up on that, I’ll put that down to my own Human Error though, just needs to be a bit more lenient for new publishers like me.
You need to be able to save to draft even if you haven’t completed the entire form, way its easier to come back to it later. In my case, chrome freezing when I press submit, forcing me to use Internet Explorer which doesn’t have .
Hope to see it improve!
I’m having big problems buying from the marketplace recently. When I click on “check out” I get some sort of overlay window or so within my browser (latest Firefox) that’s waiting for me to click something but nothing is visible. I have to leave the whole screen then return to the marketplace several times and eventually I can see the complete UI that allows me to click the finalize purchase button. has been going on for weeks now

I wonder if is similar to the problem I have when submitting products when using chrome/firefox it just waits too long before I get a response. Try Internet explorer for a while and see if it changes, I’m kind of curious.
