The Unreal Marketplace Improvement and Feedback Thread

I’m sure somebody mentioned something like earlier, but I’d like to chime in as well by requesting a Latest Update Date field for all marketplace products, so we’ll at least able to see if some the products we use were updated since we last downloaded them.

Another highly useful would be a **Changelog **tab. Since we already have a multi-tabbed interface with Description, Reviews, and Questions, adding another tab would be a fairly trivial task. While some sellers list or link their changelogs in the description field, would standardize the for all of them and also prompt many of those who don’t bother with it to list their changelogs online.

For me personally, both would be high-priority additions, so please give idea at least some consideration. Thank you.

Just downloaded 4.26 as a side-by-side installation and instantly recalled another thing that has been bugging me greatly with every version update. I believe a large portion of us would seriously welcome a separate filtering field for sorting the products we have by the engine version. It could be useful for the marketplace, no doubt, but it’s simply a crucially missing piece of the launcher’s Vault section. I have more than a hundred code plugins in the Vault that I have no particular desire to compile manually, and checking which ones have already been updated for a new version is a needless waste of time that can be easily avoided by a simple Filter by Engine Version filter.

On the downside, I guess it could potentially create some minor confusion for version-agnostic entries like static props, but I believe having the ability to filter out plugins unsupported by a particular engine version would be too positive to outweigh minor concerns like that. Besides, it’s not just code plugins. It’s all the marketplace products that utilize some the newly added features (Sequencer, Niagara, Chaos, volumetric clouds, and so on), as well as some of the deprecated ones like Matinee.

@b1016103 - As long as there’s no option to “sort assets” or “filter assets” by date of update while browsing the store, I guess I don’t see a problem…

An option like that could be safely added to the Vault, though. While I completely agree that it would wreak havoc on the marketplace, it seems like a highly useful sorting for the stuff you already own.
