Hi Guys,
So its my first time creating large outdoor environments. I actually began my first unreal project as a bar scene and didn’t want it to float in the air anymore. So I made a landmass, purchased a cheaper forest / grass set on the marketplace and started texture painting and adding meshes through the foliage painter and what not, but…
When building my lighting, I get an error stating that the total lightmap size for this InstancedStaticMeshComponent is large, which is sometimes followed by another message saying it was automatically reduced. For all my grass and bushes the lightmap resolution is 16. For the trees its was at 256 but I reduced it to 128 with no change in error messages. I have about 500 trees and 24,000 grass instances, is that a lot?
