The Shadow Flopper Effect Can Teleport The Player

Summary

The Shadow Flopper effect can teleport the Player. I am reporting this problem even though I have not been able to replicate it on a test island in the past. However, this problem seems to still occur on my Island. You may need to try a little to replicate this, but following the procedure used in the video makes it more likely to happen.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Activate the Shadow Flopper effect.
  2. Activate the Phase effect by advancing towards a blocking Prop.
  3. Continue advancing towards a wall and then deactivate the Shadow Flopper effect.

Expected Result

Additional Notes

Note that I used invisible Barrier Devices to prevent the Player from teleporting to areas that shouldn’t be explored. If I had used Static Meshes, the Player would still be teleported to the block area, regardless of the Collision Preset used.

Hi Gidan, Thanks for the report,

Do you think/know if it’s just a problem with the Shadow Flopper, or also the Shadow Bomb?

Unfortunately I’m not sure if the Shadow Bomb is affected, I also created this Private Island Code: 8594-1720-1058 however, I was able to replicate this issue only in the UEFN Session and not in the Private Island Code. Sometimes it also happens simply by advancing towards a wall after having performed the Phase effect and having deactivated the Shadow Flopper’s effect, so sometimes you just have to insist a bit. Using the way shown in the video it seems that the problem occurs more frequently.
