The right place for device connectivity?

I’m investigating the possibility of connecting a Wii fit platform to a quest 3 and developing a hoverboard for gaming motion using the balance sensors of the platform. Comments?

This is pure guesswork from my end, so take it with a grain of salt.

Nintendo is quite protective of their products and would likely have gone through hoops to prevent you from using their products for other things than intended.

If you can find a way to hook up the Wii fit platform and get the gyroscope tracking (or what the equivalent is called), you could map it to Unreal Engine axis controls and from there control a character / hoverboard.
