Summary
One day I decided to duplicate a project in which I had the Collaborator role. I wanted to work with a copy so I wouldn’t break the main project. But back then, I didn’t know that the copy would become the main version, and the original would turn into just an empty project for me.
At first, the project opened fine. But after the recent UEFN updates, it stopped opening — although the owner can still open it. I deleted the project locally and did a sync, but got an error:
Cannot find project file.
We assume this happened because my project now has a different name than the original. I also tried reinstalling Fortnite and UEFN, and clearing the cache — nothing worked.
Then the owner did a trick — he restored the very first snapshot, and after that, I was finally able to open it. Then I synced my local copy of the project from a previous snapshot, and that allowed me to see the current version of the game.
After that, I tried to restore this current snapshot, but got an error:
“The Snapshot promotion could not be completed. See the log for further information.”
Log: SourceControl: Error: Internal error (‘0’)
Is there any way to fix this situation and restore the current snapshot so that it opens for me?
Thanks for your help.
