Me too…
I have the same issue.
I think I’ve tried everything:

  • Version 1.5 works perfectly.
  • I added the -SkipBuildPatchPrereq command.
  • I installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled the Epic Games Launcher.
  • I cleared all the registry keys related to RealityCapture.
  • I ran a Windows Update.
  • I changed the installation directory.
  • I had a coffee! …and it still doesn’t work.

Same problem here aswell, following the steps as described didnt help. Fingers crossed for a solution.

Same for me, none of the solutions are working.

I’ve found something ! You can start the program directly from the RealityScan.exe inside your install directory. I think the SSD cache verification is causing the problem when starting for the first time. So just click yes (or no) but start from there and the epic login will start! Enjoy!

:+1: Thanks, it’s a good temporary solution, which proves that everything is ok, it’s just the launcher that’s not working.

We uploaded a new build with a fix. Update RealityScan through the launcher and try it out. Please let us know if the problem is solved.

i recently reinstall the program and now i can start it, it’s solved
