The prefab editor is so slow and nearly unusable

Summary

I wanna say I’m getting the hang of scenegraph but how people are expected to use this new system when things like this are a common occurrence at the moment is beyond me.

Basic functionality is slow and sluggish, You get constant freezes in the editor. The prefab editor itself needs some major work as currently everything is a hassle. Nothing is user friendly in any way.

I feel some more prioritization on scenegraph bug fixing should be made as people are stopping using this system which is not what anyone wants.

Anyway when i change a simple editable value either enum/int it freezes

Additional Notes

I am getting frustrated at constant reporting bugs that should be picked up internally. I seem to spend more of my time reporting bugs that actually creating stuff lately.

I think it has something to do with undo data collection maybe as when you save the first 1 is fast then every other is slow so i assume it must collect data for undo purposes ?

Hi @AtAshTag

Could we get your logs right after you repro?

Thank you!

Yea i will re created tomorrow as i changed how i did the system as it was uber annoying

So as i re did the system it isn’t doing it now and i opened the backup project but as its not syncd with the latest version of URC i cannot edit the prefabs for some reason.

It took hours setting up the initial one (In The Vid) to which i am not wasting my time doing it again. There is an issue and someone else should be able to confirm the issue surely.

If i run across it again i will ensure i get the logs first.

I would be shocked if this didn’t get flagged internally just by testing/creating with Scenegraph.

FORT-1031332 has been ‘Closed’. The issue reported is not caused by a bug in the tool.
