Hello.
Anyone know if it’s possible to do a secondary gloss on the materials somehow?
I’ve tried blending in a multitude of ways two together but I’m getting no huge luck there. Currently I’m forced to throw in a fresnel into the diffuse aswell but I don’t really want to do it that way.
I’m of course trying to do a car paint shader. The high gloss one is currently going into the roughness and the other broader one with the flakes is going into the diffuse.
I’ll throw up a few shots later. I’ve seen a few of the other links around here but I think they’re doing it the same way.
Cheers man, Had seen this but not looked deeply enough. Currently trying out a few tricks. Looks like **** atm but here’s some older shots before the reiteration on the car shader.
Thanks Jacky. As a super mod maybe we could just move this thread and rename it then? Don’t want to spam you guys.
If you feel like that’s a viable idea feel free to name it “The mustang project” or something like that .
I’m probably gonna do that once it’s ready for playtime. It’s the closest I’ll get to drive one probably
Cheers guys! Your support means a ton. I was gonna add a movie but I wasn’t happy with it so sometime during the weekend I promise!
Enjoy these for the time being! I went from an all dynamic approach to a static one so there’s some tweakage to do but there’s some results that are significantly better in my book.
Special for the day. A first look at the rendered sequence I want to get out. Here you can see what kind of work I got left quite clearly. I’ll probably go for black since the reflections pop a bit more on it
As absolutely gorgeous as you have done on this, the dash is slightly off (just if your interested), the ‘raised eyebrow’ style dash, should slow down a little in the center, and raised on the driver and passenger side.
ActivistMonkey: **** really? I think I’m to far gone to go in and change it to be honest. Trying to wrap it up as quickly as I can but I value your input! Means I need to double check my ref more.
Crow, For you, anything! The trick is to put your camera in a nice position and try to change dof-settings until it works. I plan to go in and change it in matinee aswell in the final video.
