The Matchmaking Error #1

Summary

After a player wins the game, players are given the option to ‘Ready Up’ to start a new game. When players click the ‘Ready Up’ button, they immediately get a Matchmaking Error #1. Players already in the game are not able to be matched up to play again without returning to the lobby.

I reported this issue previously and they were not able to find a replication for it. Fortnite Creative Lobbies refuse to start servers after 5-10~ islands hopefully your bug report does better.

I’m seeing the same thing for round-based games. I tried working around it with a pre/post-game lobby, but at end-game state it still asks to Ready Up, resulting in a Matchmaking Error #1 every time.

Hi,

These codes do not exist, even private. Island code example: 4988-2160-2307

Private codes mean matchmaking from the local PC, the template is left on content server.

the best way forward is to zip up the UEFN and Fortnite logs in this thread then publish the island with access only by code and manual publish so that you can test live

@Jimbohalo10

Not sure what you mean when you say they don’t exist. These are published games accessible on PC and Console.

hi @Romist72 ,

The Samsung Android Fortnite cannot for unknown reason find the island numbers.

on PC there is following match making error 1.1.16 unknown error, Queue Full

The reason is shown in the following errors from the Fortnite log basically the Queue is full

only one player 1/1 therefore change this to maximum 4

The complete Fortnite log is here

FortniteGameQueueFullLine19709.zip (314.6 KB)

The other has a strange error on parental settings see picture and cannot find this on Android Mobile only PC I am an adult never seen this error before.

Cannot open on PC or Android

Cool, thank you for the info. I’ll probably wait to see what happens with the Epic Bug report before I change anything.

Regarding the parental controls, they made me put a very high age rating on this game. I am not sure why but it got rejected twice until I raised the age level on it.

Is there somewhere we can more directly track the bug report (FORT-1049462), or are updates to this thread our best bet?

Is there a status update on this issue?

FORT-1049462 has been ‘Closed’ as a duplicate of an existing known issue. Origin Issue: FORT-921706

The status of FORT-921706 changed to ‘Needs Triage’. We’ve confirmed the issue and it’s waiting to be assigned to someone to fix it.

Thank you. Your help with this is much appreciated. Can you keep me updated on the progress of FORT-921706 in this thread?

I thought this was something specific to me map, glad to hear other are having the same issue. I am getting the issue when one player is playing the map and another player joins that players lobby then tries to play the second player gets the Matchmaking Error #1.

I think this is a major issue because I just did a sponsor campaign and I had around 700 clicks but only about 100 people actually joined. I know clicks dont equal joins but that number seems off. I was wondering if lots of players were trying to join sessions that already had a player in it and would cancel the new players join request which hurts my maps stats a lot. @Flak any news or any confirmation for this?

Here is my island code- 2021-3394-7074

hi @RickF1234 ,

Tested your island on UK/Europe servers several times just after you posted and couple of days later on PC Win11 this works fine.

There has been a potential answer to the problem in this post
