The Last Drawing

The Last Drawing is the next part of my other project called Musicbox. I uploaded Musicbox here a couple of months back and I was hoping to finish and upload this by Halloween but I couldn’t finish it in time.

Anyway,
The whole story behind it is that the Music Box is possessed by a dark creature that will take the owner to the woods and take their soul. The owner becomes the “doll” in that music box and the music box will rest in the woods and wait for the next owner to find it.

Hope you Enjoy it!

Hi there @EmJay_1995,

Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far

Well, this is such a genuinely terrifying cinematic. You managed to create a truly creepy setting without a single jumpscare. Huge kudos for that, but the spooky-ness still got me. The red of the glowing eyes on the drawing, the pull of the blanket, and the shadow from the window manufactured that eerie feeling so well. My only complaint is that it ended :joy: Do you plan on creating more of this story with other short films or is this a standalone video?

Thank you for your kind words! I’ll let this project rest for a bit… but I might work on a 3rd and the last part in the future. If you haven’t watched the first part you can watch it HERE
Thank you again!

PS I was tempted to set up a jumpscare at the end of the last shot but I wanted to have less cliche stuff.

Hi there @EmJay_1995 !

I was very excited to see this second installment for your storyline! I remember the last one was beautifully made and I can see you’ve only improved. This time your storytelling lies within the lighting and subtle details that is easy to have one wanting to look closer. The texture detail showcasing the tears clearly and the scratches on the floor was stunning.

Will there be more planned installments or is this going to be an open ended story for us viewers to fill in?

Hey, @The_M0ss_Man !! Happy to hear from you again
Thank you!

I will probably continue and make a 3rd and last part. It’s not going to be my next project, but I probably make it in the future.
I need to learn how to work with unreal’s foliage system and a couple more stuff… ( here’s a little spoiler  )

Thanks for linking the first part. Was definitely worth taking a peak at.

As for the potential jumpscare, I fully support it. :sunglasses:
