The cosmetics “Skye” (CID_690_Athena_Commando_F_Photographer) and “Winter Wonder Skye” (Character_Photographer_Holiday) that can be used in the Character & Guard devices have broken facial animations (face rig / bones), causing really messed up and creepy expressions.
This issue was fixed with the cosmetic “Undercover Skye”, however, the fix was never applied to the previous versions of Skye.

Steps to Reproduce
Place down the “Character” Device.
Select the Character “Skye” or “Winter Wonder Skye”.
Set the “Idle (Pose)” option to “Anguish” or “Thumbs Up”
Look at the character’s face from different angles
ALTERNATIVELY
Equip either the “Skye” or “Winter Wonder Skye” cosmetic
Use the emote “Pickin’” or “Tra La La”.
Look at the character’s face from different angles and in different points in the animation.
Expected Result
The character’s face rig should behave normally / correctly, as it does in the “Undercover Skye” outfit.
Observed Result
The character’s face rig is instead extremely broken, causing all kinds of unintended messed up expressions and animations, including the eyes turning inside out. It also causes lighting artifacts on the face, I’ve provided two photos in the lobby as a comparison for that (Skye vs. Undercover Skye).
This is an extremely easy fix. All you need to do is take the fixed face rig / bones from the head model “F_MED_Skye_Head” and apply it to “F_MED_Photographer_Head”, OR repaint the textures from “F_MED_Skye_Head” to match Skye and Winter Wonder Skye (no makeup), and apply that head model to said characters with a material instance that changes it to the repainted textures. I’ve provided an example of what the latter option looks like.
This has been an issue for a long time, and I’m using these characters as main characters in two of my upcoming games, so it would be amazing to see it fixed! Thanks!
Hey Flak - any ETA on when this will be fixed? It’s not super necessary to be fixed by then, but I am going to be using her as a character in at least two of my upcoming games by December, and it would be great to know if it will be fixed by then or not
All good if not! Thanks again!
P.S.
If it helps, you can move the suggested fixes I sent along with the examples to the existing internal ticket on the issue!
As a reminder, if it helps the team, I did provide two options in which they could fix the issue! (with option #2 that I provided image examples of being more preferable, as it fixes the bad/legacy reflection issue in her eyes as well, and any other issues that may be present with legacy head models)
