Hello everyone!
First of all, please excuse my language, I don’t speak English well. I am working on the choir of a church for my master’s thesis. After 2 months of attempts, I managed to generate a first 3d model with 355M tris (fig. 1).
Since the final goal was to create architectural orthophotos + a viable model, I decided to simplify the model at 6M tris (fig. 2) because the computer displayed only the point cloud (the model was too heavy to be fully visualized). Also, the orthos generated on the initial version were too pixelated or blurred and I understood that the cause was that the texture of my initial model could not follow the model in question. Following some advice found on the forums, I thought I understood that it was necessary to generate a new texture for the second model with the unwrap option before restarting the texture generation. The problem is that every time I tried, the unwrap loading ended up not freezing and no longer moving forward at all, even if I could manipulate the interface.
So I have two questions:
- How can I solve this problem (I can’t move forward with my work without these orthophotos)
- What would be the ideal parameters to adopt for my orthophotos in unwrap and texture setting (I also tried to use orthomosacing but, because of all my 5820 raw images, the loading time is way longer than 50 minutes)
Component of my PC (knowing that the initial model was generated on a third party’s PC)
Lenovo Legion 5
- RTX 3060
- AMD Ryzen 7 5800
- 16GB RAM
fig. 1 First model : alignement, model and texture were all setted in “normal mode”
fig. 2 Second model after simplification of the first one.
fig. 3 Its one of the parameters that i used for the unwraping
fig. 4. The unwraping go super fast at the start, but stop after that.
