Textures look horrible in game but fine in UEFN


Everytime I import a large asset, it always ends up looking like this. What do I do?

Are you using world streaming, that looks like HLOD issue to my nooby eyes.

Hi Greg,

I think what you’re seeing is LODs (lower poly meshes to be used when further away) being auto-generated.

If you open your mesh and change ‘Number of LODs’ to 1. (Remember to click ‘Apply Changes’) Does your mesh look the same in-game?

I found the issue. I guess UEFN has a bug where if you import a large asset, and when you select the option where you group all the assets into one, it looks bugged out in game. I fixed by not selecting that option, but it is time-consuming to texture all the assets one by one.
