So I’ve just started to make 3d mesh models a week ago and so I’m totally addicted right now but… I seem to have issues directly linking the textures in and usually it just comes up with a random colour, not to say that they have all failed but I was wondering what I’m doing wrong, this image for example the bricks are supposed to be A) a dark marble colour and B) a light marble colour and both the textures I’m using while they are just 1k files that were freebies so I don’t know if its the bad quality of the textures or whether I’m doing something wrong to obtain a random shade of grey instead of the intended marble texture. For instance this wooden texture started off too dark and is purple after playing around with the mapping function a little bit. And of coarse I’m completely self learnt up to this point, didn’t know how to create a plane or verticies just a week ago so I’m kind of hoping for a really simple answer or some point in the right direction to find out about this stuff. I’ve been watching way too many videos from authors such as creative shrimp, blender guru and the likes of many others but I only half understand what they are doing. Then whereas my textures only turn out good half the time. So please help if you get where I’m coming from. Aside from all the frustrations from getting things wrong I’m finding this really amazing never a less and I’m pumping out like 3000 polygons a day. crazy stuff, just can’t seem to colour it right.
