Let me give you some background first. I built the structure in AutoCAD, then opened it in Maya, where I attached generic materials to the elements of the structure (If I hadn’t UE4 imports it as a single element), and only then imported it into UE4. In UE4, when I add a material to an element, it displays with a distortion on epic scales (See attachment) . How epic? I tried to play with the scale of the texture, running from the maximum size to the minimum size UE4 allows - It didn’t solve it. When I move around the texture flickers, kind of like when you get interference on a tv.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
That is because you havent unwrapped the mesh.
google “Maya unwrap uv tutorial” should give you good results
