Any ideas how to get rid of that nasty blur? Some tips and tricks for it ? I guess that moste of You faced this problem. When I have a reflected object which is moving You get a blurred effect on it. I looks like ghosting effect or something like that. I know that the FXAA fix the problem but the AA is much lower quality. I think that this is a big deal for us and one of the biggest issues. I watched The Order and they didnt had such problems (I know that they have they own engine but it is AAA engine and they solved somehow it so it can be done).
Try creating an unbound post-process volume, and reducing the Motion Blur amount to something like 0.2 or 0.1. I find that 0.5 is way too strong for some games, especially top-down stuff.
Ok, I will give it a try. I forgot to mention that we are making a movie so we dont care about performance. If there is something that we can increase in the .ini files I would love to hear it
I made some changes to the motion blur but it makes no difference. I turned it down to 0 and still nothing.
There is no chance to grab a screenshot because it is only during animations. It is straight forward to recreate this issue. Just make sphere and attache M_Metal_Burnished_Steel or something like that with high polished material. You will notice some uber noise on the sphere. It also looks like the material isnt refreshing as it should be. I will try to make a small movie file to illustrate it but it is since the beginning of UE4
I made changes to the SSR material in the Engine. NumSteps from 12 to 32 and NumRays from 12 to 32 as well. Then I put a skylight in the viewport, added postprocess unbound and quality to 100 and all the settings to max. My viewport is EPIC. I made changes to my graphic card and it is maxed out. The quality is better but there is HEAVY ghosting on my objects - I have some wet, organic tentacles and when they move there is too much ghosting. Any hope ?
