The TAA UE4 uses tends to ghost a lot, and I’ve experimented with adjusting r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight and r.TemporalAASamples with no real luck.
It becomes about 10x worse when I enable SSGI or GTAO. I’ve tried messing with the settings related to both, but I haven’t noticed an impact on either.
I know with r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight increasing the value is supposed to reduce ghosting, but with SSGI enabled I’ve noticed the exact opposite: it increases ghosting.
On a side note: I realize UE4’s main renderer is a Deferred renderer, but has anyone on 4.25 manged to implement MSAA for the Deferred renderer? I realize how slow it likely is, I’m just tired of the TAA this engine uses.
