So when using the team and inventory settings if you change team via class selector it is removing all items when you change team even though the player is not respawning - Grant items on respawn is unticked.

Have a team settings device in the world (Match the team to change to)
Do not change any settings
Have an item in your inventory
change team via class selector

It shouldnât clear your items

Workaround is setting the On-Grant Behavior to Keep All
Please note i do not grant anything all i did was place the team devices so i could change the name of the team i have not changed any other settings on the device itself only the name (And now the workaround method)
Also the way i interpret these settings is that they are only valid when the Grant Items On Respawn is ticked but this is not the case and thus the problem either with the device or the lack of basic interpretation.
Tooltip would insinuate its the Grant Items On Respawn is bugged
Afaik Team Inventories ALWAYS grant the item when you join them, the âGrant Items on Respawnâ essentially just re-grants the same loadout on player death.
(Eg When Player dies replenish their consumables ammo etc)
And thus when you switch to that team it âgrantsâ the loadout (or no items) and since On-Grant Behavior is set to âClear Allâ it clears the items on switch.
I DO AGREE though that there should be some consideration for the default to be switched to Keep All
Tooltips all seem to be about having that respawn ticked so idk whatâs happening.
Im also not respawning just changing teams.
I feel a review of this would be a good idea as many people will have only wanted to change teams before for numerous reasons and wouldnât think those options would have any effect due to not respawning and not being ticked.
Oh agreed on that, the tooltip should be re-worded since it is a bit inaccurate, I still think the current way the device works seems intentional, if I have eg Attack Team and Defense Team, I would expect when I move to a team to also be granted itâs corresponding loadout when I switch and not have to workaround with item granters etc.
That being said I agree clear all is way too punishing. Despite that the device should In my opinion behave exactly as it does at this point just with a change in the default value being KEEP ALL and also a re-wording on the tooltip so it can more accurately explain what the actual behavior is
