I am writing to bring attention to a growing issue that is undermining the integrity of the Fortnite Creative ecosystem: the use of “clone-farms” to dominate the Discovery system.
Multiple creator profiles are currently flooding the platform with nearly identical maps (mostly Red vs Blue or Pit variations) where only the name or a single thumbnail element is changed. This practice directly competes with original creators and exploits the engagement-based payout system.
Evidence of Patterned Abuse: The following profiles illustrate this mass-reuploading strategy:
-
meanix: https://www.fortnite.com/@meanix
-
sirlauren: https://www.fortnite.com/@sirlauren
-
lucky-cat: https://www.fortnite.com/@lucky-cat
-
lisufn: https://www.fortnite.com/@lisufn
The Pattern:
-
Core Gameplay: 1:1 copies of the same mechanics across multiple islands
-
Thumbnails/Descriptions: Trivial modifications or identical assets used to “spam” categories.
-
Scale: Publishing at volume to brute-force the Discovery algorithm.
Questions for the Moderation Team:
-
Is mass-reuploading minimally modified copies of the same map officially permitted?
-
Are there plans to enforce stricter “re-skinning” policies to protect original work?
-
Should original creators pivot to this “volume-based” duplication strategy to remain competitive, or will there be penalties for this behavior?
