It is possible to force the main character to be sitting and only having the ability to look around and clicking on survey questions on the computer via mouse only.
You could probably get away with this easily by switching to UI Only Mode, use mouse screen coord to simulate the player looking around - Map Range cursor position into whatever axes player is allowed to look in.
Or use camera manager to restrict looking angles. Example here:
