Don’t forget to update the 360 camera in the Epic Game launcher library and in your project.
You may not be using the updated version.

we are very interessted in your Plugins, but i have some questions and i hope you can answer them.

  • Somewhere you have written, that at there are some problems with the stereo panos… (something with the 2 eyes flipping) is this problem solved now?
  • can tell the plugin at which location it should capture the scene? For example by using a blueprint that i move in the world or is it always from the players location?
  • can i use exposure settings with the plugin?

Q2:

  • You can specify a target for tracking, you can shift the location. you can attach a 360 camera to any object on the stage, including actors, cameras, etc.
  • example: Link1 , link2 (using sequencer)

Q3: Yes, you can use exposure settings using your post processing.

I bought it yesterday and it seems to work pretty good! I just have the problem that the whole animation is sped up by a lot! I have really no idea what could cause that. Means snow is falling insanely fast, fire is flickering way too fast, etc… I watched the tutorial and tried to setup everything just like you did. Do you have any idea what could cause this?

With new unreal engin 4.25, camera 360 plugins dont work, Raytracing is gone, no shadows no gi. when will be update of Camera 360 ? v.4.25 is more stable fo raytracing, but now all my camera setup dont work. i need 180dome cam for v.4.25. with raytracing, please help :///

NEWS 05/13/2020. Using Camera 360 in UE4.25. The update for the 360 camera is waiting for approval.

  1. Rendering Raytracing. Using the new features of the UE4.25 engine, it is possible to achieve a cleaner karitinka for Raytracing. But the requirements are always very high. Rendering 1 frame takes 1 minute, but it works.

You can export your panoramas using a sequencer using High Quality Media Export. Not limit for output size image.

Hi I’ve recently purchased your plugin which is a great system - although I intend to use it for live 360 capture. My first issue is the expected one -

While capturing my scene in real time I get an FPS drop from 120 to about 12. If you have any suggestions on Project Settings I can implement to get this up to at least 30-35 FPS this would be greatly appreciated. As of now for my 360 Rec Camera settings I’m using a 2:1 aspect ratio to get 2000 x 1000 on the capture size and 1024 texture size quality. I want to output 360 video at 2K ideally although a 1080p size works too.

My second issue is - I hope to broadcast my output via NDI (Network Device Interface) which was recently adopted to unreal with the NDI for Unreal SDK. This means the plug in has the provision to set up your own ‘Broadcast Actor’ camera to send your output over to an NDI receiving device. How do I switch the default camera you’ve provided (the one that captures the 360 plane) with the NDI Broadcast Actor?

  1. You can adjust the desired quality in Camera Actor 360.

You need to activate Quality(Experimental) and select the quality (try 1000, try 900 for test).

  1. Deactivate to attach camera, you have unchacked Activate button in Camera Rec 360 actor…

The creator of this plug in is great! He replies very swiftly and also accessed my project remotely to fix my whole scene very quickly.

The plug in works great for live 360 capture of my scene in real time (with an FPS of 50 currently) and I recommend this unique tool to everyone looking to get great results with 360 capture live in Unreal.

Important/Additional Notes:

Attention 360 stereo.Stereo 360 modes are experimental. If you only plan to work with 360 stereo, the 360 camera is not the best solution for you at the moment. 360 stereo modes have their drawbacks.
I’m working on improvements , but that 's all I can do for now(more information).

The seams appear if the objects are close to the camera.
Solution:
If Your characters are very close to the camera, seams will appear. Try to change the position of the characters so that they do not fall into the seams.

Tell me, Do your characters move or are they static?

I have an additional solution, but it only works if the objects are stationary and the shadows are baked. But the correct stereo is formed.
If objects have dynamic shadows, then artifacts with shadows will appear.

but in 4.25"Movie Render Queue " it still had some leak!

i think movie render queue quality is good , but you can test it more if seams!

The 360 camera has two stereo modes. They are both unfortunately not perfect.

  1. Standard 360 stereo mod-has a problem with turning the head, but no seams. Before making the final rendering, check whether this method is suitable for you.(

  2. 360 experimental Mode-it has the correct stereo when you turn your head, but if objects are close, seams appear.

When rendering the final image, set the Quality Quality(Experimental) - 4096px and make it active for the best image. If you set 2048, the image quality will not be as good.

In Movie render settings - please change Temporal to 3 for test. I think that will be enough.

Hmm… Seams i think Exposure (try Manual for test and (EAV check or Bridgess ) in PostProcess. Or Bloom. Check Vignette = 0.
