I’ve been able to import .fbx files and use the import all selection and the materials automatically populate. Recently I’ve been trying to do the same thing and the materials are just populating as colors!?!? What happened and how do I fix it? Thanks!
You cannot import materials from any modeling software into UE4, only the textures you setup in Max, Maya, Blender, etc. materials.
Ok, then I meant textures that UE4 then turned into materials when I imported
Never mind, I just tried exporting and importing into UE4 and it worked wonderfully. It must have been that the models I had imported previously need to be exported again to then be imported
Also keep in mind that Embed Media option should be enable during exporting, as far as i know, so that it transfers the textures.
