substrate beta not working with translucency type set to raytracing

Hello! I’m working on creating diner glass blocks and decided to use substrate Beta for the glass because it offers a better look and isn’t as flat. However, I’ve noticed that when I set the post-processing > translucency > type to ray tracing, the effects vanish, and it only functions with raster, which isn’t ideal since the other glass in the environment doesn’t render properly. Is there a way to use substrate Beta with ray tracing?

I would say it looks like you need to adjust your Substrate material properties to look correct while ray tracing. If you are using a legacy material converted to substrate, I think that would explain why it looks more correct while the PPV is set to Raster.

If you rebuild the Substrate material and adjust the properties for SSS MFP, IOR, and whether you use a clear coat layer, you may achieve better results with Substrate/Ray Tracing Translucency.
