Stuck on 'Updating file(s) Revision Control Status' during save

Summary

After simply placing and copying a device (volume) and attempting to save, the ‘Updating file(s) Revision Control Status’ process has been stuck for several hours and won’t finish.

After force-closing the program and attempting to reconnect to Revision Control without performing any other tasks, it still gets stuck in an infinite loop.

I’m not exactly sure about the details, but it seems the speed issue was caused by a Sequence Device that was referencing actors from another level. After re-linking those actors to the correct level, the performance issue was resolved.
