Struggling to cut doorways out of simple mesh.

Forgive me as I’m a UE noob, I’m trying to remove the material inside the doorframe (megascan 3d asset), the wall is just a simple cube I’ve streched out which I plan on just putting a surface asset on, just some flaked old painted wall. I’ve followed several tutorials but can’t seem to get it to work. The boolean & mesh cut in modeling mode seems to just cut out the door frame instead of all the material within the frame, is there an easy way to completely remove all the material that is inside the door frame?

An idea of what I’m trying to make, a Kolmanskop inspired scene for stills and cinematic renders.

Make empty box size of hole you want, then cut it out.
Not sure if this is what you need (some tuts require to load lyra project, but you can setup it all manually in existing projects)

Note, Open modelling tools, Poly model section, select the wall, ctrl select the cutout object then use Meshbool, and first drop down box Difference A>B
