Hi guys, I am having weird reflections stripes in my project.
First I thought it was from movie render queue, but I figures that I also have theme in my editor.
It’s like if Lumen and screenspace reflection where both active and creating visual conflicts.
Here is a picture of the stripes artefacts and the “Reflection” view of my project, I searched a lot on the forum but wasn’t able to find someone having the same issue.
(Must be a setting checkbox that I forgot to uncheck as usual… )
Hi! We encountered the same issue and its related to resolution and screentraces. We can’t produce high resolution renderings with lumen at all unless we lower the lumen gi quality significantly. There are also console commands for the downsample factor of the gi and if you play with these you will run into the same issue even at lower resolutions. I know it looks like a reflection issue but we are pretty sure its not. It also hasn’t beent fixed since the Unreal Engine 5 early access version.
PS: once you encountered this you better restart your editor
Hi, yeah I noticed that this is due to screen trace also… but if you disable it, you lose a lot of good reflections.
So my advice will also be : migrate your level to an empty project - or - copy the DefaultEngine.ini from a clean project to your project (you will obviously lose your settings but don’t have to start again from scratch)
