Strange lines in smoke particle system

Hello, I completed the ‘Create a Sprite Particle Effect in Niagara’ that was provided in the Unreal 4 documentation, but I have a strange line of interference cutting through the smoke:

I recreated the steps of the tutorial to be sure, but I can’t figure out what it is. Some of my values were adjusted slightly fro the tutorial to customize the look I wanted, but nothing too crazy. I put the suggested values back in to be sure and it’s still there.

When I slide the location up it goes away, so it seems to be only at that area of space.

update: Strangely enough, after grouping the collection of wooden railroad tie assets on the ground underneath the smoke effect, the intersection/distortion disappeared. Chalking this one up to ghosts.
