Stopping VSM from updating each frame/forcing single pass shadowcasting in the scene

We we’re wondering if it’s possible to stop VSM from updating each frame as a result of being unable to cache shadows due to WPO being present in the material. It would also be interesting if we could control the amount of updates, say every 5 frames, as a way to improve performance in foliage heavy scenes.

The way it’s currently being handled is IMO very overkill, and limiting this could have a great impact on performance while having minimal impact on the overall visual quality.
