Stop random Rotation on Foliage

Hey everyone, I have a camera with fixed rotation, it only zooms in and out of scene. I wanted to develop the depth of my scene using the foliage tool to get some trees in there, I made some almost-billboard trees with very little amout of polygons, but they can’t be rotated.

The foliage tool gives in a random rotation and I can’t seem to find anywhere for a place to stop it. Estabilishing the shaders to make them always face the camera also didn’t work.

I’d need to know if there’s a way to stop the random rotation on the foliage tool, I’d like to use it because of the pre-estabilished scalability that would take some work to setup on manual programming.

Thank you.

Hi you can turn off “Random Yaw” in the foliage tool when you select your foliage type.
Foliage Type > Placement

WOW THANKS MAN I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT

Except I did, it doesn’t work, for some reason my static meshes do not work with this checkbox. I need another answer, or at least a reason for why the checkbox doesn’t work.

foliage tool documentation

have you set up the foliage type before you added it to the "Drop Foliage Here"section?

hope that helps/solves the problem.

btw I’m trying to help you no reason to be a ■■■■■.

thank for your help to that guy . Do you know how I should limit this rotation to the numbers 90 180 270 for building use?
