Stop Beam Particle System from facing Camera

In my VR blueprint project, I have Beam Particle Systems meant to look like flat ribbon/tape/rope. However, when the player moves around, the flat beams rotate to follow the camera, ruining the effect. I have tried changing the Screen Alignment and Orientation Lock Axis as suggested in other threads, but neither of these seem to affect Beam Particle Systems. Is there a workaround to this seemingly by-design “issue” or at least a quick alternative to Beams which could achieve a similar look?
