I decided to see what performance impact I will see when having Direct light set to Stationary instead of Static.
Surprisingly, even though I rebuilt lighting and all, on Gear VR there were no shadows cast by dynamic objects, while in the Editor shadows were present.
Apparently 4.12 has dynamic directional light with cascaded shadow maps available for mobile now. I don’t know if it works in ES2 and I am not sure if it works in VR at all.
