not sure this is what you look at but in the content example in the blueprint where you drag mouse to use a wheel and others to have light when you are in area effect there is a lighting effect easy to do.
edit : found it : this is blueprint communication 3.2 ^^
In the screenshot from my game the static object has the inside edges, outside edges and corners highlighted.
I think it should be like a very advances fresnel effect.
Right now im doing the highlighted areas manually. But i would be awesome if some smart shader of sorts can do it for me.
